ended up meeting sy and cherie to go for matriculation afternoon session on thurs. had lunch at marina square kenny rogers, yummy macaroni and cheese and corn nibblets (though lotsa butter oil stuff at the bottom).
matric was quite non threatening for the first few stations cuz there's a list to follow and instructions to do what at which station. until the ocs and cip vstation then i got quite overwhelmed and pek chek cuz so many people pushing for a certain project or organisation to complete the compulsory 80 cip hours and i can't quite decide which to do and the ocs people so straight and talk so fast barely got time to absorb just know need to go back on 3 aug. plus some of the activities i can't quite see it as volunteering to contribute back to the community, like some look like job descriptions instead except it's free labour ie volunteering and i can't see why they don't/cannot hire people instead. think i just leave it alone first, slowly source for other more interesting and meaningful projects.
i actually wasn't going to join any camps besides the compulsory freshmen orientation one but the sports and smux camp people were so enthu i felt i chose the wrong school cuz i'm most certainly not feeling enthu at that point and that seems like i'm a pretty sad case.. haha. so i came back and psycho myself that yes the camps sound interesting and i'm excited to go. pretty lame but it worked. sort of. i went back on fri (since meeting dad to settle laptop purchase and stuff anyway) to register and pay for the acct and sports camps. i was tempted to go for the smux camp too cuz there's diving but i'm not really an outdoor person and i don't like camps which generally consist of packing, being enthu and staying over. think i'll wait for the activities organised during school term (i'm sure there's one that's just diving) then go for that one. i'm hoping to learn in line skating too. i'm not sure if this is a temporary part of reinventing myself to be less boring and more outgoing or what. don't think it will last. haha.
bought the acer com advertised as high performance with a white elephant graphic card which i won't use since i'm not into gaming. don't really like it. maybe i'm resistant to change or maybe cuz everyone's telling me acer com sucks and need repairing every so often. ugh. my dad agrees but think it's ok since it's under warranty for 3 years. then what happen if it starts acting up after the warranty? blah. IT and i don't mix. i don't wanna learn how to use the new com and the programs required by school that comes along with it.
met sy, corinne and yy for lunch at gimmo (sp?) and dessert at holland v before going school on fri. feel like a boring person with no comments to contribute to most topics of discussion. can i help it if i dun like nor follow soccer ie world cup, oc, grey's anatomy nor know much about overseas uni and locations since i'm not going there anyway? =x mm... just not interested i guess. actually i think nothing much interests me anymore. don't know what's happening to me, turning even more dull as i age. hahaha. i hope the uni's vibrant environment and culture influence me more than i influence them. need some life man. gah.
trg today. must remember no open palm ever. haiz. didn't train much cuz the auntie came for costume fitting. i feel quite bare but at least it covers more than a bikini? not that comforting considering i'd never worn a bikini out. and i think i look fat. too heavy at the hips. =( need some adjustment then try again tml. have at least 2 spare hours before trg starts at 4. maybe go shopping around chinatown. or take a nap at the studio. mm.. that has merit. lol.
going broke. thinking of selling stuff online but dunno how to set up and would need to get digital cam from dad. maybe, if i can get it done before the sports camp.
